A: Judging from the reaction (which I must admit I never saw), I think it has to be "I killed Brutus and stole his key!", although technically I didn't say it, just wrote it ;)

Q: If you could go on holiday tomorrow, where would you go and why?

A: Where shall I begin... Spain! To sit in a café by the beach in the warm night, listening to the sound of the waves hitting the shore while having delicious ice cream or capuccino... Greece, India, Austria, Morocco, The Dominican Republic, Cuba... Australia, New Zeeland...

Q: You?

I'd say Greece as well, and Bora bora ..where I'd stay in an expensive over-water bungalow with all the comforts that come with it, go scuba diving, lay on the white sand in front of the Pacific, not give an infinitesimally small shit about what goes on in the rest of the world or the rest of my life; and surely, relax in a hammock with a special someone and a drink

Maybe not tomorrow, but sooner or later I WILL be in Bora bora :err:

Q: same question..

@Mags: Of course I understand that losing one's freedom isn't exactly something desirable... It's a complicated question, and there are many aspects of it. Why I chose what I chose is probably because I hate seeing people get away with serious crimes with a pat on the shoulder and "don't do it again". I hate having mental patients stabbing 5-year-olds to death or hitting 3-year-olds in the head with an axe just because the justice system let them off lightly. Could also be what I know of Swedish prisons - your own cosy little cell, complete with TV. If you do any work in prison, you get paid. You get the chance to educate yourself. You can smuggle in all the drugs and cell phones you want (at least you could up until recently). People from the Baltic countries come here and comit crimes just so they can go to jail because they know they'll be better off in a Swedish prison than in their own country.
I understand you better now too.. I didn't realize the situation with Swedish prisons was like this, and I can imagine how you'd feel if you often heard of cases in which terrible people get away with things like that.
But you're right, I cannot argue with you on that one.
It all depends on the crime and the sentence and circumstances... you don't want cruel and violent psychopaths to go free; on the other hand you don't want innocent people locked in for life.
Yeah.

Hey..
...shut up.

@Mags: don't tell me to shut up, you hammock-loving Storm storm freak.

@the rest: do go on, please. :p

A: Stupidity, pure selfishness, bitchiness, people who don't listen, etc.

Q: What's the weather like in the part of your world right now?

A: dry and cold, a pale sun peering through veiled skies during the day.

Q: what is your favourite subject when you want to start a conversation with someone you don't know well at all?

[edit. sorry rahve, you are too fast]

a1: drab. it doesn't rain, but it's not sunny either. my all-knowing magic box says it's 16.3 degrees Celsius and 91% humidity.

a2: you know, this question is totally on the point, since i was exactly in that situation yesterday with a guy whom i know very superficially and who happened to be having lunch right in front of me. the icebreaker was discussing our respective hometowns. other choices that came to my mind were music, movies, and funny anecdotes (but this one can be done only if the person looks like they would enjoy - not a definite winner).

q: you?

A: Tomorrow, 9:00 AM
A2: Grrr. ^poster changed the question. :) Subject: How's your life, blah blah.

Q: Can you lick your elbow?

I shall revive it!

EDIT: How did I know someone was going to un-fix the fix I was about to post? :tickled:

A1: Music is always a good subject to break the ice.
A2: I can't lick my elbow.
A3: I don't waste energy on hate...and therefore don't feel it.

Q: Do you appreciate more the albums that take you a while to get into, or the ones that some describe as 'instant classics'?
