Ok, I know this post is a dangerous one.(But it is a serious post!) After years of Pollution yelling at me to go to PP, I bought tickets for this year. (Not to mention the fact that I would not miss out on this fabulous oppurtunity to see EG) Just curious all in all what I should expect?! :kickass:

Just curious all in all what I should expect?!

a fantastic time with some new friends enjoying some great music. That is the very least you should expect. This crowd is hands down the best crowd out there. They're like an extended family (but not a dysfunctional one).

oh, and wear a corset on Friday night. :notworthy

You are going to make a lot of friends. You are going to hear a lot of great music. You are going to have so much fun you will become an addict and try to come back every year, no matter how far you have to fly. :Smokin:
After all, look at what's happened to pollution! :flame: Be prepared! :kickass:

Like Ann Marie said, I can speak from experience: Expect to get addicted to the festival in a way that makes you go there every year from now on, you will also be wishing at least 50 times a year that the next PP would already be next weekend :p About damn time you make it there! hehe

Welcome to the family, DGIRL!! Other than the general awesomeness of ProgPower like Rider of Theli and AMBR have mentioned, you can expect to wish you brought more money, better shoes, more snack foods to share with your friends at the all-night afterparties, and a liver made of steel :tickled:

One hint, get there early and go straight for the table selling the event shirts. These sell out quickly, especially some of the smaller sizes, and after the weekend is over you're going to wish you had one :)

Also, make sure to check the schedules for performance and autograph signing times.

Don't bring a camera without anticipating the wait in the inspection lines.

Expect to want food after the show, so follow the crowd to the nearest China Buddha restaurant.

And lastly, be prepared to fall in love with at least ONE new band by the end of the weekend. It's worth it to check out a few songs of each set. You never know what you're going to find...

Totally there for ya man, but I'm still counting on your for the Drag N Drop Service. Drag my drunk ass to the hotel and drop me off in my room :tickled:

Stay away from the Granada Hotel after-show parties. You won't get back(read: find your way back) to your room until 6 in the morning. Then, someone will call you wanting to go get something to eat at the Vortex, but you'll be so hungover that you can barely move...much less eat. Because of your vulnerable state(read: hungover like a bastard), you will be coerced into participating in some rather embarrasing photos involving a pink boa.

...um, not that this has ever happened to me, ever...really...never.

You're gonna have a great time, make lots of friend, spend a lot of money in CDs/Merch and watch bands you will probably never get the chance to see again. In other words, it's gonna be awesome!

You should expect to ask "who the hell would wear a Hawaiian shirt, golf visor, & flip flops to a metal festival?"

This translates into:

The Promoter does his best Jimmy Buffet impersonation every year!! He is easy to spot and also serves as the official "Mosh Stopper"!! We should call him the "Mosh Squad"!!!

Look forward to meeting you.
