The way I see it, most DIY pop I find on bandcamp is about 100x as great than most mainstream "metal" trite I find.

Just know that Trivium is my favorite band, they have the best classic metalcore album Ascendancy even though they are not really metalcore anymore. Other then that I love, Sylosis, Bleed From Within, and The Raven Age are my main Metalcore bands right now.

Sounds like you like a lot of modern metalcore.

Most of my interests in metalcore stem from bands like Starkweather, Deadguy, and Shai Hulud; who which, Shai Hulud puts a lot of those bands listed you like to shame.
