exceperts from Akin's new album The Way Things End. Playful prog rock from France with female vocals (an acquired taste but actually a strong vocalist), quite interesting arrangements and melodies. A very nice, sunny album overall, and the guitarist is a friend of mine so I thought I'd make a post for the sheer beauty of it.

The album it's on sucks (it's mostly stupid R&B shit), but this is one of my favorite tracks of 2011. Probably the best coke song in years.

Shabazz Palaces - Black Up

New hip hop release from Ishmael "Butterfly" Butler of Digable Planets. Is not only being heralded as the best hip hop album of the year but the best release period of the year so far.

I fucking LOVE Digable Planets. DL this album ...so far sounds good.
