First off you haven't had any good arguements for your point. Where in the bible does it say any of those things? (I haven't read it).
I don't believe that there is "plenty" of sexism. A women can get any job she chooses, with the same wages as a guy, and if you don't believe me then so be it, but the women I work with make the same $$ I do, my mother makes as much as the guys, my GF's make as much as the guys etc. etc. I think your living in the 1930's. Show me some evidence suggesting what you are saying.

The original point that I was trying to make was that a female presidential candidate is less likely to be taken seriously than a male candidate would. This was in response to metal wrath's statement that the lack of female U.S. presidents thus far is evidence that they don't deserve presidency.
Now that we're arguing about sexism in a more general sense, I'm not sure I even disagree with you. I'm simply trying to point out that prejudices against women have an effect on the demographics of politicians, just as racial prejudices do.
If you want to argue over the particulars of exactly how much sexism there is in the country, or how much racism there is, or what parts of the Bible contain sexist messages, I recommend we do it over AIM to save time, and preferably on a day when I don't have homework due tomorrow. I don't really give much of a shit about this debate, I'd just prefer that you not think of me as being closed-minded about it, since you seem to be inferring that from my offhand jabs at conservative Christians.

I have nothing against him, don't get me wrong. I'd rather vote for him over literally everyone else in the race except Edwards. The fact is though, he isn't preaching anything new or original. He's just using the same old washed up rhetoric that all the presidential nominees have used. Which is why I hate politics.
A female should not be able to run for president period, but what do I know since I do not like females!

I have more female friends than male, and I have to admit I way prefer to go out with the guys than the girls.
