Pathfinder Promotions presents...

Okay, I just want to let everyone know how stoked I am about this show!

Hehe, of course, I'm a bit partial because my band is playing, Oblivion Myth, and I'm the drummer. I decided to just give a tidbit here because we are not well known at all yet, although there is apparently some rumor around Middle Tennessee (where we are located) that we're signed lol which is funny because it's not true. We've been together almost a year now, and we've accomplished much more than any other bands locally in our area. We just finished recording for our new 8 song CD (probably self-titled) that is being mixed by Andy Freeman (formerly of Fatal Opera, now doing studio work and going solo), and we are just waiting for him to finishing up the mixing process. The CD should be ready to go in a couple of weeks, and we'll have clips up on our myspace (Just click Hoyt's link, the myspace nothing fancy right now though) and will be selling the CD cheaply to anyone that wants one! I would begin to describe our sound, but I will just wait until the CD is finished because I hate always using other bands to compare our sound to, because we don't necessarily sound like any band I might compare us to. We have our thrashy moments, we have our prog moments, we have our power metal moments. We're planning on playing the whole CD + a new song that we just finished that we've all agreed has shown how far we've come in just a year's time with our songwriting.

I also want to thank Hoyt big time for getting together this gig for us! He has been more than generous and is a good man. Did I make you blush yet Greg? Because I can! Haha. ;)

heh heh - no more stoked than I am to bring Oblivion Myth down here with their unique blend of metal to support Theocracy - who a great many people on these forums know pretty well. And then to have the first show with the returning Halcyon Way and their new drummer (threeisten from these very forums!).
And of course I can't have a show without two of the most talented local bands on the northwest side of the ATL! I've often praised Patrick's band Eclipsed by Sanity, but this other young band Vitriol... just wait until you witness the awesome shredding style of this 14-year old guitarist! He's been compared to the likes of Jason Becker by much more seasoned guitarists in the area. So I'm happy to have them opening the show.

I hope to see alot of you there. This will be a small rebirth for our band. And I don't think we will dissappoint you. This looks like a great line up, I am always excited to play with bands we haven't played with. Of course I always look forward to playing with Theocracy, both professionally and as a fan. With all the bands and famous people calling Hoyt these days, I just hope he can find a spot for us on these bills in the future.

Feb 17 hmmmmmmm i may just have to make a trip back to my hometown to visit, and hopefully take in this show.

Oh, look at that! I'm calling Brian and Justin to see if they want to go with me. Sounds dandy.

Of course I want to go, but not with you

This looks like a great bill. Theocracy and Halcyon Way are both good bands. I think I met one of the guy from Vitriol outside of the Opeth show a few months ago and he seemed like a cool person, so I'm interested in hearing their music.

wow! this is cool. Thanks all for the interest!

whoa, J-man, that would be awesome!

oh pshaw! :p

And to explain Vitriol's music... obviously you could access their MySpace site linked in the first post. But trust me - it doesn't do them proper justice compared to their live show. Their music is a technical thrash metal with harsh vocals. They play shows once or twice a month on the north and west sides of Atlanta. So if you can catch one of their shows before feb 17th, I recommend you go. They are young (14-16) but they are talented and very serious about the music they create. I can see a future in the music business for Vitriol.

Yeah everyone definately needs to be there from first to last. I really want to prove to some people around here that Eclipsed by Sanity is more than you think and I do believe Vitriol is deserving of a crowd as well. E.B.S. and Vitriol are like brother bands to each other these days, we love playing shows with them and they love playing shows with us. So just because you aren't familiar with the names, doesn't mean you can't show up and have a listen. I guarentee you won't be dissapointed!

On a side note Im very excited to be playing with Oblivion Myth, Halcyon Way, AND THEOCRACY! This is like three dreams come true in one night for me and I know the rest of my band is excited. They were surprised when I told them we were playing with Theocracy and now I know they're going to be even more excited that Halcyon Way has been confirmed cause I know I was!

They're going to be even more excited to know that fans from Prog Power are going to be there, so like I said please show up for the first two bands as well, we're not just a bunch of kids on stage goofing around. We're serious about our music and if we had anymore money we (E.B.S.) would have demo's out and on our myspace by now. So I apologize for that in advance, but please don't shun us because you can't hear a recording.

Yeah, Yeah, but this doesn't count as a show of mine that you have attended. You still owe me one show. I can't let you off that easy. It doesn't look good.

Its chris from oblivon myth. I am very excited to be playing with some good bands finally. This will be a big step for us and hopefully an interesting road trip. I spoke to our producer today (Andy Freeman) about our cd. He said that hopefully by the end of next week that he will be done with mixing and mastering. We have came so far in the past year, its really crazy. Hopefully we will be playing all of the cd plus 2 others that did not make it on the cd, so thats 11 songs, and hopefully the time frame will work out where we will have long enough to do it all. Well good to talk to some people that will be there.
