Post the last film you watched and rate it out of 10!

Watched Crazy Heart last week... really good movie, especially since it's about a musician. Definitely a 9, at least.

Always thought of Bridges as a somewhat weak actor before, though I can see why he won the Oscar for the film.

And btw, The Grey is a GREAT movie! That one goes to 10 for me.

Watched HEAT the other week. Never seen it before although im a huge Pacino fan. Really an awesome movie, you got to love Pacino rage outbursts haha. Would give it a 9/10. But for sure up with his legendary movies.

The Grey is definitely an awesome movie. Very bleak and depressing but great on every level. If you saw it and didn't watch until after the credits - go watch the end again!

Just saw The Bourne Legacy and thought it was bearable. 5/10. Not nearly as good as the first two Bourne movies. And why do they always have to make car/motorbike chases so long? 1 minute would be more than enough ...

Actually, there are three "bourne" movies before that. Unless you meant the the third one (bourne ultimatum) wasn't as good, in which case I would have to wholeheartedly disagree.
I still haven't seen Legacy and from what I've heard I think I'll have to pass.

A couple of movies I've seen recently:

Pitch perfect - 7.5 ...pretty entertaining movie about acappela groups.

Skyfall - 8.5 ...along with Casino Royale (which I would rate slightly higher) they're by far the best bond films in my opinion. I believe Christopher Nolan may have started a trend, with the batman trilogy, of remaking/rebooting crappy movies/franchises into to dark, gritty and much better written/directed ones. I really hope that is the case and that it will continue.

Cabin in the woods - I'll give it a 7, not a bad movie but oh god, all the terror cliches are there. At least no vampires since twilight made them suck hard.

Three Kings - 9/10 - Witty, hilarious, heart-pounding, tragic, striking, sickening Gulf War movie; perfectly balances action and anti-war/political soapboxing, and the cast are all so perfect for their respective roles; can't recommend it enough

Drive - 7.5/10 - I get that they were going for the whole Noir thing, but man did it try my patience, with those interminable scenes of Gosling and the short-haired chick gazing into each other's eyes, each exchanging a word every 5-odd seconds, and that godawful European techno/dance soundtrack (damn Danish directors  ); however, there were enough really striking and memorable images and scenes, as well as awesome performances by Gosling, his mechanic (the crippled guy who got his arm sliced) and Albert Brooks in particular that were able to create enough atmosphere for me to enjoy it

Shooter - 8.5/10 - A real throwback in many ways to the themes of the best of the 80s action movies (one man with a really impressive set of survival/killing skills, framed and against impossible odds, kicking ass and taking names), with some present-day cynicism and political mistrust sprinkled in to spice it up; I gotta admit, this flick, the aforementioned Three Kings, and Ted have made me an appreciator (can't quite say a fan) of Marky Mark. Anyone who loves Modern Warfare's exhaustive attention to detail in its gun-porn will have a field day with this movie

Man i was sooooo disappointed with that movie. They hyped it so much before the release and i got the impression that it would still be a horror movie, not a movie that makes fun of horror movies.

So for me it was like a 1/10 totally pointless movie.

Haha :D And i was totally impressed with the film. Thought i was going to see a horror film with a twist but got much more than i expected. Started off kinda slow but when it started i was glued to the seat.

And new movies for me:
Love actually (yep, a christmas one)- 7/10
A feelgood movie.

And not really a movie but a short series:
The lost room - 9/10
Amazing one. Really interesting.

You give a retarded comedy for stupid kids a 8/10 but you give Dark Knight a 3/10? The christopher nolan batman series is the only "hero" film worth watching...

Yeah you know, you definitely should tell people what their opinions should be, silly people with bad movie tastes, good thing you're here to help :-D

I would give Ted the same score.

I'm pretty sure that was intentional. It was obvious to me that the movie wasn't taking itself too seriously and it was almost a horror movie parody (intentionally). A lot of people were really disappointed with this movie and I can't help to think that they had false expectations of seeing a scary horror movie and totally missed the humor of it.
Oh well, I personally found it really entertaining.

That's weird. For me the soundtrack was a really big part of why I enjoyed the movie so much and really added to the whole atmosphere of the movie. I still listen to it quite often.
edit: Also, the "crippled guy" is Brian Cranston and it's inexcusable that you're not familiar with him :). Do yourself a favor and watch Breaking Bad!

I get why you would think Ted is retarded, but it's definitely not for kids :D.
For the record didn't really like it either, I much prefer Family guy's early seasons. I got the impression it was for people who are not familiar at all with Family guy since pretty much everything in the movie was done in the series in a much better/funnier way.

I`ve seen a lot of movies lately.
Kalifornia 7/10
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang 8/10
Drive 7/10
Das Experiment 8/10
Gattaca -9/10
The Big Blue 10/10

Yes, I got them as intentional and a little bit of a parody, then again, it all depends on how people "sell" the movie to you. Friends told me it was great and blah blah.

Not a bad movie ( gave it a seven after all) but clearly aimed at horror fans. Until the end I felt it was a really predictable movie ( of course intentional) maybe making it not as good as people told me.
