Recomend me some music! thread

Triptykon are cool, I listened to them back when the tracks were first put up on the myspace. It's much like I'd expect Celtic Frost's next album after Monotheist to sound like...

As for Opeth, I'd recommend all the albums from My Arms, Your Hearse onwards. Not that I dislike the first and second album, it's just I think they really came into their own on My Arms, Your Hearse - and haven't really stopped progressing since.

Morningrise is one of their best in my opinion......
To Bid You Farewell is absolutely amazing.

I'd recommend :
1: Blackwater Park
2 : Still Life
3 : My Arms Your Hearse
4 : Morningrise

Thats a good start huh? :)

Yeah, I think I recall reading somewhere that some of the material was actually initially written for the next Celtic Frost album... then obviously when Tom left he carried it over into Triptykon.

Might I also recommend Tirant Sin's third demo 'Mutant Supremacy'? After re-listening to it after hearing Cannibal Corpse go on about it for the best partof alf an hour, I forgot how fucking ace it is.

ANy of them. But if you want technical wizardry, No More Color. However, I'd say Mental Vortex as it's fucking badass and if anything, you can hear a lot of it in Mutant's music and even on Infected Nations to a degree.

I was gonna buy Punishment for Decadence on Amazon, but then they ran out :(
And the only other ones they have of it are like $70!! :O

CORONER!!! They are still getting a lot of regular play by me. Especially the self-titled.

I don't have the Death Cult and The Unknown cds either (other than ones I burned myself.) But as we all know they were never officially released on cd.

Aye, hence the bootleg  But they'd still be nice to have.

I have to say, Grin ad the self-titld get some really harsh backlash they don't deserve. Tracks like Host, Paralized/Mesmerized, The Favourite Game and Golden Casmere Sleeper are better than anything most bands have released since.
