Good luck! That's the only official release I don't own, it tends to go for £30 - £80 most of the time. I was lucky to get Grin for £20, as it goes for well over £60 thee days.

Also, I'm re-recommending Death for the zero people on here that don't know Chuck's work. And if you don't know the glory of this band, then you shouldn't be on a metal forum.

Aye, hence the bootleg But they'd still be nice to have.

I have to say, Grin ad the self-titld get some really harsh backlash they don't deserve. Tracks like Host, Paralized/Mesmerized, The Favourite Game and Golden Casmere Sleeper are better than anything most bands have released since.

Agreed on all counts.

I really don't understand the negativity towards Grin and Coroner. Grin is a truely great album. Yes its a slightly different style to what had been done previously, but thats evolution for you. And as you say Dave, the new tracks from Coroner are great aswell. Thankfully all the people I've played them for really liked them. And at least we know how good they are.

EDIT : Amazon has Coroner for $24.99 (and up) used, and Punishment for Decadence for $32 (and up) used. Very tempting..... Grin was like $50 though

Warmaster and Those Once Loyal. Most albums are similar to that apart from the first two. But they are also up with the best.

What about Tsjuder? They came up as a related video. Only listened to "Mouth of Madness", but they seemed pretty awesome too!

But you need to listen to some real grindcore!! If you like Deaths early stuff, it's likely you'll enjoy grindcore.


Here from Napalm Death's Mentally Murdered EP. Last collab between Lee Dorian and Bill Steer in the band, and the first record to have a good recording. It's my personal favourite Naplm record.


And of course... One of the greatest songs ever...


Whilst I'm at it listen to these.

First reactions to songs played :

1 : So THATS Napalm Death huh? No. Just, NO. Its a vocals thing. Sorry.
2 : Carcass..... Hard to believe thats the same band that made Heartwokr. Pretty cool nontheless.
3 : Terrorizer sounds like Death. I kept expecting to hear "Beyond the Unholy GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAVE!" Pretty cool.
4 : Repulsion sounded like straight up noise. Bleh.
5 : Brutal Truth, BADASS............ If the singer wasn't so terrible.
6 : Defecation..... First off, doesn't that mean shit? Secondly, not bad. The singer is horrible, but the song was kinda cool until the drum part from hell, then it became noise.

Keenan, I can't believe you said Kevin Sharp of Brutal truth is a bad vocalist, he's one of the best in extreme metal! You'd probably prefer his vocals in Venomous Concept:

Yeah, they're a Norwegian band too. Black metal though. Glad you enjoyed "Mouth of Madness2 - I think they are of the best black metal bands.

Don't really know where to start! If you haven't already heard these bands, check them out... Autopsy, Nocturnus, Vital Remains, Bolt Thrower, Atheist, Gorod, Massacra, Disincarnate, Edge of Sanity, Runemagick, Protector, Masachist, Phlebotomized...

If you already know these bands, sorry, I didn't mean to sound patronising I just have no idea what you're already listening to!
