Recomend me some music! thread

Asunder are all right, but they're not psychedelic/stoner doom. They're more funeral doom...

Anyway, it's no expert on that kind of doom but if you haven't already try checking out Weedeater, Spiritual Beggars, Acid King, Bong, Orange Goblin, Bongzilla, Serpent Throne... and Dan might/probably will have a few more for you.

What Podgie has said there. Here's my input of some psychedelic doom bands for you.

Witch, OM (first album), WhiteBuzz, Shrinebuilder, Earthless, YOB, Dead Meadow, Sloth (This band are a spot on Electric Wizard rip ;) )

Chris Barnes era = (As Dan said) The Bleeding, or Eaten Back to Life.

Corpsegrinder era = Evisceration Plague, their latest and best in ages. (Though I think KILL was all right too.)

Cannibal Corpse ey?

Barnes = Pretty much any of them, though The Bleeding is the best by far
Corpsegrinder = Bloodthirst is fucking seenstial, and then I echo Podgie's thoughts on Evisceration Plague because it rips balls.

Also, Weedeater and Shrinebuilder FTW

Reviewing Covet's last post of stoner/doomy goodness :

Witch - Seer
Pretty sweet, the vocals are actually really good.
Om - On the Mountain at Dawn Pt.1
Not really feeling that one at the moment, may come back later when I can concentrate on it though.
Shrinebuilder - Pyramid of the Moon
Badass song title, pretty cool song.

Thats all for now.

Om are my favourite there. When Sleep broke up they formed a new band with the first guitarist but that failed too.. So the two remaining members formed OM, which is just Sleep but the main instrument is bass. And an amazing band they are. They played a 6 hour concert in Jerusalem.

Shrinebuilder are a supergroup. Al from OM/Sleep on bass/vocals. Wino from Saint Vitus (and a million other bands) on guitar and vocals. Scott Kelly from Neurosis on guitar and vocals. And of course the legend Dale Crover from Melvins on drums. Best band line-up ever!
