I sampled Now, Diabolical and thought it was good, but it doesn't blow me away, solid though. What'd you think of Now, Diabolical?

The first time i heard the album i was like, nah its alright....
But the album has grown alot on me.
When i first startet to like one song (The Pentagram Burns),
then the whole record just came along and now i love it!
One of my favorites from Norway 06.

Watched them live some months ago, they kicked ass in front of 250 ppl here in Drammen(Norway)

As The Pentagram Burns was the first song I heard from the album, I'll probably eventually get Now, Diabolical, I've came close to getting it a couple times so I'm destined to get it.

i listened to Now, Diabolical and i liked K.I.N.G. but that was about it, the vocals are kinda irritating though i like the earlier stuff and i have listened to Volcano and it actually has a couple good songs but it isn't special at all, i'm probably gunna go get DMT

Volcano is not very good at all. I hardly ever listen to it.

Satyricon has always been a second tier black metal band. Mother North is a great song, but other than that they're pretty mediocre. The best thing Satyr ever did was sing for Thorns.

I'm starting to get into Volcano and I anticipate it to grow on me with time.

Volcano was good it is has dark atmospheric parts (more experimentation samples etc)with keyboards on certain parts, songs like Mental Mercury, Possessed, and Angstridden made it worth getting.

Fuel For Hatred is mehalicious, the 3 new songs I heard from Now, Diabolical are way better.

I like Fuel For Hatred just as much as the non-poppy songs that Satyricon plays. I'm impressed by such a range of style.

Ehhh Fuel For Hatred... I don't like it at all. Nor do I like K.I.N.G. that much. I think they both represent their albums poorly. Volcano is fucking great though (BLACK LAVA!!!) and Now Diabolical is good too but Volcano is a lot better.

Is their Album "the shadowthrone" any good, I've never heard anything about this album and was wondering how it stacks up against their first and third albums. I personally loved nemesis divina but hated dark medieval times.

Yeh man The Shadowthrone is a great ablum, well worth getting, even if its just for Hvite Krists Död and Dominions Of Satyricon

Yeah its definitely still better than their new shit like Rebel Extravaganza, Volcano, and Now Diablolical.

No, it's post-black. It still based on the foundations of black metal and the ideology. Modernized and rock-i-fied.

I can't judge the band as a whole, but I just received Dark Medieval Times and it's great. I can see myself really getting into Satyricon.
