I want to nominate Xysma - Yeah at some point. I'm not sure if most of you guys even know the album enough to help out, but it's an absolute monster of a death/doom album, mixing Black Sabbath and early finnish death metal with napalm death and carcass grind influences...

You and your second tier death/doom. How exactly has that album earned a place before Transcendence Into The Peripheral, Lost Paradise, Dance Of December Souls, Mental Funeral, Stream From The Heavens, etc.?

Dance of December Souls is worse than Brave Murder Day and Stream From the Heavens can fuck right off, I'd rather listen to Unholy's first album.
Transcedence is too long and there's a Autopsy album currently making its way up the list.

Brave Murder Day is barely extreme metal so it's not really relevant to DoDS, and yes, Unholy's first album is one I should've mentioned, that was implied in the "etc.", mmk?

Well, Kreated pretty much has broken the system with his incessant votes for Immortal and Agalloch albums that the majority clearly does not want on the list. I know other people support these too, but for other people, they can't really vote down much of anything else.

It was a mistake to not take Marrow of the Spirit over Ashes Against the Grain earlier. Marrow would have already been on the list, and then hopefully no one would have been obnoxious enough to suggest AATG for about another 100 albums. I like AATG, but it's not great, and it's probably Agalloch's fourth best album, so no.

I haven't paid extremely close attention to everyone's voting habits, but it's not hard for a person to power one album through, especially when everyone is busy minusing down the same two albums all the time.

Also, maybe i need to go back and listen to them but AAtG > Marrow.

It's inevitable when there are ~7 regular participants, most of which probably vote up the same 4 or less albums and down the same couple, and 20 albums to choose from.
