Like an Ever Flowing Stream/The Spectre Within/Beneath the Remains
 
The Voice of Steel is a lot better than OM or Ashes Against the Grain. It's one of the most ambitious metal albums ever recorded, and the performances on that album are outstanding. It makes every other Nokturnal Mortum album look like crap.

Bolt Thrower sticks out as a pretty odd choice at this point. Do people really think that's better than the other OSDM options on the board?

Symbolic is definitely not better than Human. Leprosy is better than neither of those. That was an exceptionally weird choice. I think people just voted for it because they liked Death. I like Deathspell Omega tons, but I wasn't going to vote Fas in when I think SMRC and Inquisitors of Satan are far better albums. Likewise, I'm not voting for Ashes Against the Grain when Marrow of the Spirit is unquestionably better.

A lot of people see it as Death's most deathly album and the album that really stripped away the thrash influence that still pervaded the 1987 and earlier death metal bands. tbh I don't really agree when one looks at what Morbid Angel, Suffocation, and others accomplished, but I don't think that it's a weird choice considering that it's really solid and great for what it is.

I don't think Bolt Thrower should be on here either. The Demigod, Demilich, Immolation, Incantation, and Dismember albums are far superior. (Not that Bolt Thrower is a bad band or anything).

Death is one of those bands where everyone thinks a different album is the best. Personally, I like Scream Bloody Gore the best but no one has even mentioned that one.

As for Deathspell Omega, I like SMRC better. Haven't heard Inquisitors.

Oh also, Pale Folklore is better than Marrow of the Spirit, imo.

How is that a weird choice when it is widely considered to be their best album amongs most fans of the band? ...and i know a lot. Also, its their highest rated album on just about every single web-site .... the only thing weird was that statement of yours right there.

... and if there is a Death album better than Symbolic, Leprosy definitely would be it.
