And, @ TNB, I don't really have anything against you (-)ing the Fates Warning albums as long as you quit calling out every poster that considers them classic. I don't think it's terribly controversial on this forum to consider a FW album amongst the best of metal (you're the only one I really see objecting), and, as for adding a 2nd one, you'll notice I've stopped voting for Spectre now that I can vote for Guardian. But anyways...no worries :)

I don't think OM is bad, but no-one is ever plussing it, so as long as it's still on the list it's just taking up a spot and giving us only 19 real spots to use

The Spectre Within/Metal Church/Beneath the Remains

I'm actually not very much into Awaken the Guardian. The vocal melodies are crazier but otherwise it's kind of like a slower and less varied version of its predecessor to me. I'm closer to being a Fates Warning fanboy than one of any other band, and still appreciate a few individual songs, but there are at least a few Alder albums which are much better.

I am more inclined towards my current opinion every time I listen to both.
 
This might be a very unpopular suggestion, but, I propose instead of every 5 hours we raise it to every 8, or every 12. This thread is damn addictive, and you basically have to be here as often as possible to keep your albums competitive. It's interruptive of normal daily scheduling to log every 5 hours. Does anyone else agree it would be better if it was every 8, or every 12? For those of you who are NOT voting every 5 hours, you should be in favor of this because it would take away the advantage of your competitors who currently are voting every 5.
 
I guess so. I don't care that much if the timing is changed. Currently you can basically vote three times a day, and 8 would make it twice a day for most people, so that's pretty much okay with me.

I don't like the spirit of the thread if it's about getting your albums on. It's supposed to be more collaborative than that.

I like it at 5. It allows you to vote 2-3 times a day. I also think the thread has a good tempo right now, with votes steadily coming in. If other people want the time changed, it's open for discussion. 8 or 12 seems like too much though.
