ye, got a little out of hand there ... my bad Lat for lashing out on you for adding that album. I actually prefer Awaken the Guardian to The Spectre Within, but just didn't think they're worthy of being in the top 30 so that's why i kept giving them the -1.

How would people feel about modifying the following rule:

A player cannot use the same vote (i.e. +2, +1 or -1) for the same album on back to back turns. For example, if I vote +2 for Master of Puppets on my first turn, I cannot vote +2 for Master of Puppets on my second turn, but I can give it my +1 vote.

What if we made it so you can give negative votes to the same album as many times in a row as you want. The reasons would be the following:

1) It eliminates one person overloading an album onto the list that when no one else wants it there. You can only do so much damage with one negative vote per two turn cycle.

2) It somewhat evens out the positive and negative voting powers. As it stands one can give 3 positive points for every 1 negative vote within a two vote cycle. This would even it to a 3:2 ratio.

3) It could help make it easier to clear off filler albums that are taking up spaces (i.e. No More Color and OM)

Just an idea. What do ya'll think?

I don't know crimson, I don't think it's necessary to increase minusing power because most people don't want to have to battle to keep their albums on the chart. I'm not re-adding that Kampfar album since it proved unpopular, for example. People generally want to add albums that they hope at least some other people will like, so I don't think adding more minusing power against a single album is necessary. People are also already starting to contribute to our kill-stale-albums movement by minusing OM, I remember it being 27 or more and now it's 19. But just my opinion, and I think it's at least much better than the -1/-2 idea
 
Indefinite minuses sounds good to me. Wouldn't change my voting habits right now, though.
