For the "eagle eyed" amongst you, or should that be "eagle eared"....of course the piano theme at the end of City of Lies is the third time that melody has made an appearance over the years........

I think it's a beautiful addition to the song.
Actually, the first time I heard it, I thought it was the intro to Time to Burn - the little clipping sounds during that part made me think it had to do with the title, etc... maybe nobody understands what I mean, but yea, there you go

That clipping noise is supposed to be that way, Steve wanted it to sound as if it was an older record being played.
I have always paid attention to the recurring theme that has found its way into just about every PQ album in certain songs and have spoken to Steve about it in length a few times.
It is brilliant and chilling.
