WOOOOOOO!

As everyone else has said, the fest was awesome. I liked everyone (even the non-UM folks grew on me by the end) and the music was superb. Favorite sets were (in no particularly order): Asphyx, Malignancy, Pentagram, and Magrudergrind. Downtown Baltimore is still a really depressing place, but the fest was too good to let it get to me.

Highlights:

-PIZZAQUEST 2010 with Grant and Andy
-LUNCHQUEST 2010 with Grant and Jeremy
-Getting along with Chris. I was worried he would school me on some political theory but we just chilled and talked metal.
-Slamming it up on youtube Sunday night with Brad, Schmidt and Jeremy
-Headbanging right behind Guy during Asphyx (no homo)
-Spending 50 bucks at Sevared Records
-The bizarre Portal semi-mosh
-The polka at the beginning of Rompeprop
-Trying to make Kevin (Eligos) think that I was talking a lot, he just wasn't listening when I was (kinda true).
-Making Mort is a pedo jokes in real life.
-Trying to figure out what Onder means by "post-fucked" and "pre-fucked"
-Speculating on how to get Onder to go next year
-Contemplating the meaning of "A Portal to Fucking Nowhere"
-Being in the front for Pentagram
-And many more I can't think of right now

It truly does suck. I thought the extra day before the fest would help, but it went by so damn quickly anyway. I just want to take a whole fucking week off next year and do like a camping or road trip with you guys before the fest, haha.

Oh, and my list o' highlights from off the top of my head:

- driving around town with Chris Thursday night on a ridiculously long quest in pouring rain to find beer with 95% of stores in Baltimore closed after 10. None in the supermarket, none in 7-11 - we had to buy booze at this random bar called Kitty's... :zombie: Schmidt's GPS gadget was a godsend.
- watching Jordan the Hutt slither across the hotel room floor in his blanket later that night
- Superfresh... such an epic grocery store.
- almost getting stage-dived on by the guitarist for Ingrowing
- going into Subway completely wasted on Sunday night and ordering my food in death grunts
- not falling down at all while moshing
- chatting for two hours with Nick and Jeremy at a Thai diner on Monday after a long and futile quest through the burning wastes of Baltimore to find an open seafood place on Memorial Day

Fucking party central. Pentagram (with Victor Griffin)/Autopsy/DRI/Gorguts/Fang/Possesstic Intent/Sinister/Crucifist/Asphyx/Incantation. Got wasted and caught up in the party and missed a ton of shit. Canadians. Fought my way to the back stage area through the crowd for Autopsy. Plowed my way into the back stage for Deceased because it sounded better. Pregnant black stripper dancing to AC/DC. Broke shit. Smoked weed. Fuck.

Guy and I decided that the best fucking part of the store is when you get to the RANDOM FUCKING DELI by walking diagonally for 5 minutes, then go "where the FUCK is the frozen section", walk a little past the deli to a place it doesn't even look like you should be allowed to go, and there's 2 "aisles" (really an approximation of a non-Euclidean horrific "shape" common to the floorplan of the store) of that shit. What the fuck, seriously.
