Started watching The Pillars Of The Earth last week. Rather good. Kinda like Game of Thrones without the magic.

Dexter is okay but I get annoyed when people call it one of their favorite series. The supporting cast is fucking horrendous. Also the fifth season went absolutely nowhere and demonstrated that the series really needs an overarching plot of some kind.

I stopped at season 3. The girlfriend was bugging the shit out of me and the whole show got really silly.

Season 3 was really shit, but 4 and 5 were a major step up.

Have you seen the US Wilfred yet? I've watched the first two episodes, and while not terrible, not surprisingly the original is infinitely better. He doesn't even swear in it!
