The School/Uni Thread

Course registration opened up at midnight last night, and I after about 20 minutes the server finally let me in to register. I lucked out almost too well, getting all the classes I wanted, plus the ones I thought I didn't have a chance of getting into. So my official spring semester schedule goes as follows...

Education in a Multicultural Society
Honors 112: Civilizations: Past Present & Future II
Honors 180: A Cultural Odyssey
Roman History
Readings in Latin Literature II
Roman Philosophical Thought
College Algebra

Totals to 20 credits, which is well over normal. But I think I can handle it, since I find myself with a lot of free time this semester. I can always dump Algebra to next fall if I'm overwhelmed.

Yep. I'm not dropping anything until I know if I can handle it. Most of those classes are stuff I'm interested in, so I'll be dedicated.

If I keep this up I can start graduate work early, or else have more free time to work in my latter years of college.

I also plan to add a Latin minor to my Secondary Education major. It won't add any more work since I'm already taking the required courses as part of my foreign/classical language teacher program.

Nice...I'm taking 16 credits on top of high-school...the dedication is worth it

For some reason I become infuriated when I get any mark below an 80 when the exam/project is worth a decent amount of the final grade. Case in point, the Nonverbal Communication midterm I did a few weeks ago I got a 78 (B+). Not a bad mark by any means, but lower than I expected. It also happened to be the day that I suffered the whole pneumothorax ordeal, so in some ways it was kind of out of my control. Knowing this I now emailed the professor to see if their is any way he can at least boost my mark to an 80.

Now I am off to write/outline the paper I have to do for my Viking s class. The material is enjoyable enough, but I am not familiar with history paper style so I am hoping I am not too far off the mark.

Also would anyone be interested in editing my Vikings essay once I have a first draft completed, hopefully tomorrow? (preferably someone with university level history/medieval studies knowledge)

I can give it a shot. I'll probably be more helpful in grammar/spelling than checking for historical accuracy.
