I'm going to get my Bachelor's degree in Communications, a BA, in Spring 2010 with Minors in Business Management and Spanish. I guess I should've said I'm in college, I'd like to go get a Masters in Communications somewhere out West, Cal State Fullerton has a program for it. I asked professors today about getting a Masters Degree and they told me to apply for an Assitantship, so I may have to do that or take out more loans. I want to keep furthering my education.

Mainly because you have fewer responsibilities. I would love to go back to school full time and not work, but I get a pretty nice paycheck every other week and it's nice to be able to buy shit.

I just had my last class yesterday, and handed in my final essay as well. Now just a couple exams and I'll have my degree.
Its exciting and somewhat terrifying at the same time since I don't know what I want to do.

I attended a conference about grad school for English majors. The first things the literature speaker said when he stood up was "If anyone here plans to go to grad school and get their PhD, prepare for several years living in debt and poverty." Really inspirational.

also, you'll have more luck getting a job with a Rhetoric/Composition degree than a Lit degree.

So I've been told. Rhetoric and Composition sounds interesting, but I'm not sure if it's my thing. Is that what you're focusing on?
yeah. at least for grad school I am. I originally enrolled as an undergrad English Ed major with an emphasis on Rhetoric/Composition but I switched to Creative Writing because I ended up missing a couple of Rhet/Comp courses that are only offered every so often.

Ah. Yeah, I do a lot of creative writing, but I've never taken a class in it. I adhere to the philosophy that the best way to learn to write is to read a variety of different texts.

I was going to do English Lit at York or Liverpool Universities. My personal tutor was like, 'You're good at lit, do Lit.' x0
