And my own submission:
Atrox - The Beldam of the Bedlam 37,5 (avg. 4,69)
RadicalThrasher told me he was too busy right now and that I shouldn't wait for his rating.
"Trip at the Brain" was only Sirjack's second pick, but I chose it, since his first pick didn't qualify for the metal mixtape game IMO (though it could do so for the non-metal mixtape game). I think even if I had accepted it, it wouldn't have fared much better.
I already guessed that the Atrox-song would be too "weird" for the majority here, but since Atrox are one of my favourite bands and most of their songs would have been on topic in this round, I took the liberty to submit one nevertheless. Assuming that Krow and Omni haven't heard anything by Atrox before, I was surprised in a positive way they seemed to like the song at first listen. "The Beldam of the Bedlam" is possibly one of Atrox' least accessible songs. One of my two alternate choices, the music- and vocal-wise more accessible and moderate "Flesh City" from "Orgasm" might have been less painful for all those who disliked "The Beldam of the Bedlam", whereas they'd have disliked "Lizard Dance" from "Contentum" most likely even more because of the vocal lines.
@Baroque: While I'm one of the few here who actually do like Nightwish (well, mostly "Oceanborn", to a lesser extent "Imaginaerum", the debut and otherwise some songs here and there), I wonder where the "nightwishy" parts in "The Beldam of the Bedlam" are to be found. Could you specify them for me?
@Omni: How much do you like Kate Bush's album "The Dreaming"? (I know you like her debut album.) I'm just asking, because I think people who like Kate Bush's vocals on that album are less likely to feel offended by Monika's vocals on "Contentum" and "Terrestrials".
