Sabbath is... they came out in 1968... when did Rush come out with their debut? besides Rush is not metal.. they have hard rock and metal overtones perhaps but definetly not metal and the main metal bands that are influenced by them are progressive metal bands that to me don't count anyways lol ...

I don't know, if you ask me, Rush and Dream Theater sound a lot alike. Nobody is saying Dream Theater aren't metal.
