I think the singer is great. He has really good control over his voice, and when he avoids his typical fare and goes into different styles like parabol, it is really good. I hope that the new album is in the vain of the title track of lateralus and the suite following it, because that is where I think that tool can go from good to great. As for all of the people hating tool, I don't understand what's not to like about them. Sure, they aren't the next burzum, but that doesn't matter, especially considering the complete different styles of music. Why do people have to always divide between godly and shitty? There are bands inbetween, hard as it is to beleive....
