i really WANTED to put this but i cannot in good conscience when there are so many other great albums

i appreciate the appreciation though, this is an A+++ album



if "the astral sleep" counts then it is definitely on my list, but i think calling it black metal is doing it a disservice

I'm not sure if I consider even that BM, but meh. Doesn't matter.

you could probably tag it as doom or death or black but that sound pattern is installed in so many of today's depressive/suicidal scene... there are bands who pure worship for those two albums so I can't see how it's not associated with black metal.

I am tempted to put Sunn O))) - Black One on my list, because I love it dearly, but I consider that more of a tribute to black metal, than actual black metal. Or something like that.
