1.Martin Lopez - Opeth (Groove)
2.Nick Barker - Dimmu borgir Cradle of filth Etc Attribute (Fucking Speed)
3.Kai kahto - WinterSun (Speed, tempo changes)
4.Chris adler - Lamb of God (Tightness, most unqie drum arrangements and fill ins.
5.Gene Hoglan - SYL death testament(Legend, Speed)

"think its pretty accurate" - you're kidding right? :Spin:

Weird, Danny Carey should be on all these lists. I suppose it's all subjective.

1. Danny Carey
2. Neil Peart (Not a fan, but I recognize his ability)
3. Martin Lopez (Really is as great as they say)
4. John Bonham
5. Not sure.....

Just consider everybody after Daney Carey a tie in my book.

Flo Mounier (Cryptopsy, ex Necrosis)

Proscriptor McGovern (Absu, Melechesh)

Martin Lopez (Opeth, ex Amon Amarth, ex Requiem Aeternam)

Mike Smith (Suffocation)

Guys, let's not forget the mighty Hellhammer!

For myself, I don't really know how to judge drummers... I'll put up a list with the one that I like the most because of their groove and their precision (I don't care about LUDICROUS SPEED).

Martin Lopez
Johan Langell
Mike Portnoy
Hellhammer
Gene Hoglan
Richard Christy

i know this is top 5 drummers only, and lopez is great, but anders nordin sounded well good to me.

To be honest. I never liked Anders drumming. It wasn`t good and double kicks were not used very good. I was very happy when i heard Lopez from Amon Amarth was taking his place.

I'm actually ranking the following drummers for talent, diversity in styles etc etc.

1. Derek Roddy (Hate Eternal, ex Nile)
2. Henry Ranta (The Defaced ex Soilwork, ex Chimaria, ex Terror 2000)
3. David Haley (Psycroptic, Ruins, The Amenta)
4. John Longstreth (Origin, ex-The Red Chord, ex-Skinless, ex-Possession, ex-Angelcorpse, ex-Exhumed, Dim Mak)
5. LOPEZ!!!

Neil Peart (RUSH)
Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater)
Sean Reinert (Cynic, Gordian Knot)
