What are some of your favorite recent productions?

its not a recent production, but in terms of realism (like a real band playing together)
and some of the greatest guitar tones i have heard is still limp bizkits csathfw.
compare that snare to any modern metal production.. everything now has a static attack with a static sustain
and (to me) zero expression. but damn this snare (i think an ocdp 40 ply vented) and the room is really inspiring.

well for recent productions i mainly reference nickelbacks dark horse, gojira twoaf and the latest stone sour (altough i dont like the guitars that much.)
for punk i really like the latest rise against.
ok this confirms it, all the time the new limp bizkit album just missed the groove for me, all the elements are there but its just missing that wanna jump up and down groove for my ears, after closer examination i came to the conclusion that the didn't let otto groove as fuck, this makes me a sad panda

Been listening to Rise Against's latest album and it sounds amazing. What are some of CLA's best mixes? I've never really dived into his discography but I love his mixes from what I've heard.

The best I've heard from him is Paramore's 'Brand New Eyes'.

He's done a LOT of albums though, and I haven't heard close to all of them.

I'm listening to Chiodos - Illuminaudio and it sounds amazing, EXCEPT it's SO FUCKING LOUD. It sucks that such great production can be almost ruined by insanely loud mastering that makes it so taxing on your ears to listen to. This might be the loudest album I've ever heard, it's worse than Blue Sky Noise.
