What is wrong with Manilla Road vocals?

Sounds like a drunk homeless dude trying to sing higher than his normal range. It's similar to Olorin if you've ever heard that band.

Anyone who thinks anything about Manilla Road is bad simply has poor taste. They are so incredibly precise in their vision and execute everything perfect.

Also I'm proud of him for finally being able to do live shows with Graveland.

I disagree, I think Mark's vocal style suits the music so much I really can't imagine the band without him. Like an ancient storyteller.

Mark's vocals are usually fine for what he is going for in his songs and he has a pretty diverse approach overall, but there are a few songs where his voice sounds goofy.

"Feeling Free Again" is the most egregious example, but several of the early songs are hindered somewhat by his vocal delivery being goofy or awkward. I think that he got more confident and consistent as a vocalist from Open the Gates onward.

The vocal style on "Divine Victim" is a much better take on his more upbeat vocal delivery from the earlier songs.

Then you have "The Veils of Negative Existence" which is one of his best performances imo.
