Mine was bleak, I couldn't believe how cool were the blend between electric and acoustic guitars, that I could stand growls, and that there weren't any technical solos, but a lot of melody going on.

and yours?

in my time of need :D it was the first song of opeth that i heard :)) then i downloaded all opeth songs as i can found:D and i addicted to Opeth :)))

The first song I heard, was Nectar, on a Blackend CD (Various artists). Well, that's were it started...

I saw them perform Deliverance on Lamentations and remember thinking the outro was the best thing I've ever heard.

Is it to overreact when I am ashamed of myself for admiting it was The Grand Conjuration, whereas I thought Blackwater Park was boring?

(For the record, it is not like that anymore!)

^ U FAIL

;-P

I find TGC to be quite a good song actually, though maybe not among their best.

Harvest. Will never forget that first listen, I was just in awe. Opened up a hell of a can of worms!

the 1st opeth song i heard was patterns in the ivy 2 and ive been in love with opeth ever since
