Will you still listen to metal when you are older?

My fellow guitarist and mentor Kaas was 32 when he was in our band, he relocated to Cali but I can tell you, the guy has been listening to metal before you were a scratch in your dady's pants. I actually got him into bands like Death and Cynic, he got me into bands like Likr Via and King Crimson. I am 21 I listen to everything though, classical, jazz and metal except Black, Nu, and Hardcore, are my top choices though, and I won't get into a cd collection war here because I am beat, but I have over 550 cd's and countless tapes of all different genres, metal is not a teenager thing believe you me. It has to do with expresion and yes anger, but it also has to do with change, yes most metal is stagnant but the ideals behind metal are pretty damn radical.

no you see dude, if they can play metal trust me, they can play fuckin pop music, most of them start bands and then get money, if they were in metal to make money they would be the next korn, who isnt metal at all
What some of you fail to realize is...is metal is the worlds most popular music. Thats why alot of people play it. It sells records. Thats why their are so many more metal bands than other types of bands.

yes we all know metal is the worlds most popular and varied music, but there is still no money to be made unless you completely fuck yourself over

dude your not getting the point, they start ot and play metal and still like metal thats why they keep playing metal, why would they play stuff they didnt like? the reason they dont go and play nsync music b/c they do it for art not money. now tell me, name any old average metal musician with millions and millions of dollars and even more fans?

being popular doesnt mean you make money, its the worlds most popular music simply for the fact that theres at least 1 band from nearly every country, but tell me where you can go just about anywhere in any country and see some1 that likes metal? i doubt it highly you can
