Your Guitars

I have a Jackson PS 4, an Epiphone SG Special and a real cheapass Casino acoustic guitar.

The only guitar I use now is the PS4, namely because it's the best.

Amp: Epiphone Studio 10 and Marshall Valvestate 8080.
Effects: Boss ME-50 and Marshall Jackhammer Jh-1

Oh and I can't live without my Jazz 3 picks :)

i've only just started to learn the guitar & i'm just borrowing this jackson acoustic my teacher leant me until i can afford an electric.

anyone got any suggestions to what i should get? it's my birthday this wednesday (seing Opeth on the night :headbang: ) so i should be getting some cash to go towards it.

I got a red flametop Jackson SL-3. Fuckin sweet. Play it through a Carvin Legacy half stack. I also have a BBE sonic maximizer, Fulltone Clyde Wah, and a Behringer V-Amp2 for when I wanna be quiet.

Guitar: Epiphone Les Paul Studio and a Morgan nylon string acoustic (cheap as hell)

Amp: Roland Cube 30 with a switch

I wanna buy a pedal soon, one with a few different possible settings, not too expensive (GT6ish), any ideas?

Cheap shit for me..

Legend Vintage Series strat copy, modified - action lowered, triple humbuckers with individual selectors. 9's on it atm. Quite a good guitar like this..

Dalon strat copy, modified, currently in pieces (refinishing) - action lowered, locking machines (forgotten the brand, starts with a K though).

Amp... I tend to use my computer as an amp. Fair enough since my amp is a Washburn sx12 :(

Saving up for a J&D Luthiery les paul copy..

I use Ibanez guitars... I have a mid priced one but it sounds so metal, Death, thrash, black, hardcore even JAZZ... it sounds mint for everything!!!

I Use a large LANEY amp, i think its called the HcM 120. Its totally bad ass... it goes very loud and with the BOSS MT2 (which you all should own) you can make any metal sound you want... heavy as you like. Im very happy with my equipment, but its taken years of birthdays and christmases to get to where I am today.

I use stuby 3.0 mm pics... bloody ace. If you can get used to em I advise using em because you can be so fast and precise!!! :headbang:

I'm looking at buying a Grestch (sp?). MAde for Jazz/coutry, has awesome clean tone and amazing on distortion.

I'm Also looking at getting better keyboards, since mine are... shit.

Well the multi-effects processor I have, the ME-50 comes with the MT-2 tone built into it. Sounds badass but there's a big loss of clarity especially when chording.. so I mainly use it as my lead tone. I mainly use DS-1 for rhythm.

I've heard a Laney HCM120 bass amp, not sure about the guitar one though. I recall the bass one really eating major dick. The guy playing had to plug into another more vintage amp to get decent tone going. I'm sure the guitar version should be alot better, what with it being designed for metal and all.

nice gear everyone....damn, i love threads like this...i love gear-talk...

guitars
b.c. rich n.j. virgin (for metal abuse)
gibson les paul faded
1976 gibson LS-6 (pawn-shop gem)
piece of shit montana acoustic
(looking into a takamine 12 strng)

amps
line 6 flextone II 1x12
marshall jcm 2000 dsl50 w/ 1960 jcm 900 slantback cab

effects (other than line 6)
dunlop crybaby wah
boss ps5 super-shifter

i run my guitar into the line 6, then out of the effects loop and into my ps-5, then the wah, then the marshall.....makes for a pretty cool tone with the two amps combined.
i am looking into an e.q. for the fx loop in the marshall....i've heard nothing shapes sound better than that....

I just got laminent flooring in my room of practice, the echo in the room is imense now, its like playing in a concert hall, but yeah I also have one of those Jackson flying V's with one tiny fin... it looks kick ass but the fin is pathetic, oh yeah and I agree about the clarity thing, its really bent but there are ways to sort it out, like turning down the DiSt. The guitar version of the laney amp previously mentioned is really ace, with its twin attack cones and its unstoppable volume you can knock any sound you like out of it. Its cheap too and works surprisingly well as a pre amp.
