I've listened to a good share of music this year, but what albums am I missing?

What do you guys recommend the most? Which albums do you think are the most solid?

why don't you try in something non metal?i suggest you to buy new Portishead album-3rd..simply the most depressive album i ever heard.gloomy an sorrowfull believe me...

and also try the solo album of ex-green carnation bass player Sordal-in fort knox with a penny(amazing indie-folk album)

I actually like a few Portishead songs, mostly "Humming". Very freaky music for sure.

It's good.. but like most Moonspell there's too little interesting guitars. The extremity in it is definitely a step up though. I always enjoyed their vocs.

Both excellent albums. I'm not a huge Draconian fan but this album is definitely worth a listen, and DD's Lost to the Living is even better than Dismantling Devotion.

Swallow The Sun - Plague of Butterflies
Slumber - TBA.

Really looking forward to both of these releases the most. Two of my favorite bands.

Mar De Grisis, Isole, Ikuinen Kaamos, Throes Of Dawn, & Hanging Garden are all great bands too.

There is also Mercenary's new album Architect of Lies. It's not quite as good as past works such as 11 Dreams or The Hours That Remain but still impressive nonetheless.

I'm still yet to hear the new Moonspell or Unleashed albums but once I receive my promos in the mail I'll crank the volume and definitely headbang to that shit!

Havn't heard much new studff this year other than Opeth, Bloodbath and a few Unleashed songs. Looking forward to the new amon amarth.
