So it looks like "Horizons" is the new title for the new Anathema release. The semi acoustic is called "hindsight." Pretty cool name tie in.

I always get a bit sceptical when i hear band members say stuff like that. The new songs I hear are good, but that is quite a statement.

I think they truly believe this because it's their "positive" album, but I however don't see them ever out doing A Fine Day to Exit. Having Steve Wilson as a producer though is definitely a huge plus.

AFDTE sucked hard minus a couple songs.

I'm also not gonna set any hopes until I heard the album, because indeed, I can't imagine a 'positive' (happy??!) sounding Anathema. Hopefully Steve Wilson has a cure for their optimism (pun intended)

hah. I like "Everything" a lot on the demo. The other song ideas seem pretty meh.

'positive' Anathema sounds to me like 'positive' Katatonia. that cannot work. i think by 'positive' they mean 'less negative'...im quite skeptical to be honest...at least it should be better than 'A Fine Day To Exit', their weakest release imho

Anyway, I think I must admit that Textures have taken the album of the year position (so far) from In Mourning from me.

Not even in the song Awake..? That song has moved me to tears several times, because of the vocals.

Absolutely not. I borderline despise the album.

Glad I'm not the only one. I love Anathema but that album was a mistake.
