And people wonder why they hate us ...

Think about why kids in England wouldn't run a mile for a water bottle and maybe you'll start to get it.

If you got it and yet still feel the same way, then you lose. It's one thing to humor yourself in order to escape from a trying situation, but it's another to do it at the expense of little children who are far less fortunate than you.

It's a widely held view that dangling a common commodity of your own in front of the face of somebody that lacks said commodity and forcing them to essentially 'perform' for it is not a respectable or humane thing to do, and generally people who feel otherwise are pieces of shit.

Now I'm not going to claim that what these guys did is the reason people hate us or even that it warrants mass outrage, but if you can't see how this particular action is distasteful in a way that throwing eggs at your neighbor's house is not, then I suppose you ought to have your moral intuitions fixed.

Again, I'm not trying to sit here and defend what these guys did. I'm well aware it was a rotten thing to do. That's about the extent of it, though. I'm also not going to be told that I'm somehow morally bankrupt because I'm not deeply offended by soldiers who happen to be assholes teasing some kids.

Thats what happens in war. The iraqi's are lucky they got taken over by a generally civilized country. Theres a difference between teasing kids with water and selling those kids into slavery.

It's easy to say, "har har it could be worse," and "lol that's war," blah blah blah. How much teasing do you think it takes to turn someone from a potential friend into an enemy. These kids live in that hellhole every single day, and guys like these soldiers just add insult to injury. If each one of those kids becomes an enemy combatant how many lives will he take? That's the real cost of the "prank" and the joke, as well as the blood, is on us.

All I could think of besides, "Please throw them the water," was, "Wow, the workout those kids are getting... it's like terrorist bootcamp."

Overreact much? If they had, you know, actually harmed the kids in some way, I might buy that, but what they did in this video is nothing. It was an obnoxious thing to do, not a crime against humanity.

It was nothing more than a pretty rude prank. Teenagers do worse shit to there neighbors and no one gives a shit. Next you'll be calling for heads when a video surfaces of some Marines leaving a flaming bag of shit on some Iraqui guys doorstep.

Let's see your fat ass run for water when your starving and thirsty. Hell, maybe I'll throw a half a pogo stick over the truck.
Actually, I'll take that back, and aim it more towards Faith No More.

I seriously hope your kidding and don't really believe any of that crap you just uttered.

A somewhat disturbing video, but I'm not completely surprised; we've seen before what bored soldiers will do for fun. Just because they have kids that blow us up, doesn't mean we should turn around and be pricks. We're supposed to be showing them how to be better people.

What are you talking about, every single child in the middle east is a potential suicide bomber. They are just born that way down there.

Remember fellas, the majority of people who join the military ( Middle of the country morons) have the I.Q of the average 14 year old.

I'm not surprised at all.
