ARCH ENEMY

Sounds awesome already! Can't wait to hear the final mix.

Cool to hear you're mixing it up on the guitars a bit too. Did you end up using both elements of the 250 in the mix?

It sounds very promising indeed :) That's a cool video as well. I was lucky enough to work with Arch Enemy at a festival this summer so it was pretty cool to see the crew guys in the video :) I've never in my life met any engineer who knew his frequencies better than Clem, their FOH guy. Watching him ring out the monitors was pretty unreal. "Cut out a bit of 6.4k... Sorry, I missed it, try 6.6k."

Just got the download of Yesterday Is Dead And Gone. Banging mix Andy! Everything's so unbelievably clear, best sounding Arch Enemy record ever!

What are you doing with the delays on the lead guitars? Every AE record you do seems to have this signature delay on the leads that I absolutely love.

yeah the delays are great, esp on mikes guitar. He tracked with an old stereo rockman delay that they fed into a sep cab. Sounded amazing. Mikes got a new secret weapon for his lead tone that I'm sworn to secrecy about, needless to say I think its probably the best lead tone hes had.
