Albums like that put them on the fucking map and how are you going to call someone childish when you put songs that have choruses like "i dont give a flying fuck motherfucker" over pieces that were musical brilliance.

After listening to AYDY for the first time, I have to admit that I was expecting a little more from a COB albums. Don't get me wrong now, I love cob's music but it was just like this album was lacking a little something that other albums seemed to flourish in. The songs weren't as interesting to me on AYDY as they are on FTR or HCDR. Maybe its the fact that they seem to be concentrating on technicality(which isn't a bad thing) on this album instead of more melody and solos, which is what we all loved COB's music for.

but to humour you, nevermore didn't put songwriting on a back burner to sound more mainstream, loomis' leads wtfpwn alexi in every possible way, and the addition of steve smyth has taken nevermore to levels they've never been to. nevermore has progressed, bodom has regressed. oh, and warrel is infinately better at singing than alexi.


most importantly though, the new nevermore isn't numetal/hardcore/gaycore like the new cobhXc
