Heh, it's the same misunderstanding of Nietzsche's ideals that the Nazis had then, that's amusing.

A lot of the ideas of persecution of Jews are actually derived from Martin Luther's writing, not Nietzsche. Despite heralding in a new age of Christianity his writings are very anti-semitic.

Finally picked up a hard copy of this at a record store near my house today:

I certainly think their two first albums (+ the EP In the Shadow of Another World) are most unique and interesting, although they don't sound as professional as on their later releases.

The Haunting is my favourite but there is good stuff on all their albums.

I wouldn't call it black metal, though. Only the vocals are reminiscent of black metal. I would say it's some kind of dark metal...
