I think I've mentioned it before, but what does everyone think of the Black Twilight Circle Bands (Ashdautas, Volahn, Axeman, Arizmenda, Kallathon etc)?

Black Twilight are one of my favorite black metal circles. So goooood. Hoping for a new Arizmenda album soon.

Advent Fog's debut album is pretty solid. Symphonic BM in the vein of Limbonic Art.

I hate Root's later stuff so much. Kärgeräs is terrible imo, I don't know why it's so highly rated. The first two of course are legendary.

I haven't checked the earlier stuff yet, but I haven't been very impressed with much Czech BM, so I've been hesitant.

Maniac Butcher are the creme de la creme of Czech BM.

See therein lies the problem. Never was big on heavy metal. So that joke falls on deaf ears and the Czech BM scene continues to alienate me.

Gonna have to agree with Onder. First couple of Root albums are fucking great. And Master's Hammer. both are fantastic bands

You're not alone. I gave a few listens to the album Ritual, and it got boring very quickly.
