Black Metal.

Well with St. Patrick's Day tomorrow it got me wondering. So many viking and black metal bands in Scandinavia play songs about how Christianity replaced their pagan religion and all that fun stuff.

So are their any Irish black/folk metal bands that write about Ireland's conversion to Christianity?

Let me say to you:

Cruachan - Tuatha Na Gael

I tend to steer clear of French black metal. It always seems to dissapoint. Last French BM album I bought was Crystalium-Diktat Omega. A letdown.
As soon as you said this I knew someone(s) would get angry.

WTF? Why? French BM is one of the most highly respected scenes in modern BM.
And lo and behold.

I actually haven't looked much into French BM because I have been focusing more on the US scene. I have no opinion on it yet, but judging from almost everyone here I should have high expectations.

Get the following three French BM albums.

Mystic Forest - Romances
Belenos - Spicilege
Epheles - Souviens-Toi

Well, I'm not angry so much as confused by a statement so abnormal in the scene...

Eh, it's just most of the French BM I have bought tends to be average. Mort, I'll check out those albums. If I am randomly picking BM by reigon, I tend to go with Norway (durrr), Sweden, Finland, Germany, and the Netherlands. Russia too. I tend to steer clear of Italy as well.
