Some one post a list of good black metal that has come out this year. The only black metal album I've heard from 08 is Horn "Naturkraft" and it was decent.
That is awesome, I dont know what the original sounds like but I really enjoyed that.
Just read a stellar review on this album, and that coupled with your rec of it and the fact that I loved that vid make me think I may actually buy it in the near future.Storm of the Light's Bane will be your next purchase, then.

Averse Sefira - Advent Parallax
Arckanum - Antikosmos
Storm of the Lights Bane is a must!Just read a stellar review on this album, and that coupled with your rec of it and the fact that I loved that vid make me think I may actually buy it in the near future.
For ones who know Swedish - could you translate for me the intro-speech in Arckanum's song "Svarte" (Antikosmos)? I'm courious what he yells bout.
Get this shit!
Speaking of which, what are Arckanum's best releases? I really liked Antikosmos, so anything stylistically similar would also be a welcome rec
CheersIm sorry but thats pretty hard to hear. They start each phrase with a norse god. Example: "Loki! Hail Loki!" and "Fenrer! Hail Fenrer!". Other norse gods/places mentioned are Hel and Jörmungander. He talk about these gods and their role in Ragnarök (also the last word he shouts).
Agreed. I recently discovered Transcending Bizarre(from Mathias) and they are extremely badass but i need more Prog/Black rec's.For my money, black metal these days is most interesting when you get some experimentation tossed into the mix, whether "progressive" or otherwise.
