Black Metal.

I received the new beherit today in the mail. It's not that great tbh, it's overproduced and sounds like any modern black metal release. I woudn't say the album is horrible but, i doubt this is something i will want to keep listening to.

Like I said, I liked what I heard. I think it probably is something that warrants trying actively to get into. It's obvious Holocausto wasn't going to make another DDTM. The production is heavy, but I don't think it's "overproduced" at all and I also think he would disagree about that w/ you.

Looks like Nocturno Culto and Sarke from Tulus and Khold have a new band together that is named, well, Sarke(?). They even are playing live.

Indie Recordings has announced the signing of SARKE, the Norwegian band featuring Sarke (KHOLD, TULUS, OLD MAN’S CHILD, SENSA ANIMA) and Nocturno Culto (DARKTHRONE).SARKE might sound like a new name, and in fact it is, but this grim story has more pages than one first might think.Formed in 2008 by its namesake Sarke, who has spread his angry art through KHOLD, TULUS, OLD MAN’S CHILD and SENSA ANIMA, SARKE is a mesmerizing journey through dark and soothing soundscapes, inspired by legends like MAYHEM, SLAYER, DARKTHRONE, CELTIC FROST, BLACK SABBATH, CANDLEMASS, DEATH, MOTÖRHEAD and KREATOR. For this musical quest, Sarke wanted to create music that has inspired him since he got into the extreme metal scene, and thus Nocturno Culto from the mighty DARKTHRONE was brought on board, making the core of the project complete. All music and lyrics are written by Sarke, but adding Nocturno’s legendary voice to these songs, has without a doubt added another dimension to the grimness. The debut album, “Vorunah”, was recorded in November, and even though the album was recorded in old-fashioned ’70s style to get the true vibe of the music, “Vorunah” was produced by Sarke with Lars-Erik Westby.

Can anyone post a list of 2009 BM albums released so far that are worth checking out? Since i been away for awhile and haven't payed attention to music.
