Black Metal.

Because they like the themes. You are a nerdy 25 year old guy from the south, why do you like Odin.

Also, Weltanschauung is the best NM disc ever.

The Slavs (Black Metal-wise) are an odd bunch. The majority of National Socialist Black Metal comes from Poland for example, and I find it highly ironic, let alone paradoxical that of all places, young Poles should feel so right-wing.

Sometimes I wonder whether they're simply bored in terms of their National Socialist tendencies.

How do you folks feel about Graveland's Fire Chariot of Destruction? Compared to Dawn of Iron Blades, I thought it was a step down actually. I found Fire Chariot of Destruction overly percussive.

I dont listen to Graveland enough.

but Darken is another one who uses the Norse/Germanic gods instead of the Slavic gods. But I read in an interview that he thinks the gods are all the same just with different names.

I enjoy it, but it's definitely not as strong as Dawn of Iron Blades (Or The Fire of Awakening). I can see how some would see it as overly percussive, but I thought it was a nice change. My only complaint is it's quite heavy on the choir vocals, but that is easily overlooked. I think DoIB is his best since the magnificent Immortal Pride.

I think Creator And Destroyer is one of the best songs he's written in recent years.

I just posted about it on the previous page. I thought it was better than Iron Blades, I enjoyed it very much. As I said earlier, it is my third favorite Graveland album, to In The Glare of Burning Churches and Iron Blades. I only own ITGOBC and FCOD, but I have heard the rest (mostly downloaded).

Guys I just found out from the guy who runs Total Holocaust Records that Nortt is in the process of writing for the new album, due 2008. Also some good news in that older works are going to be re-released, with a re-issue of Graven being definite.

This info isn't public yet :)

... so for those of you who haven't yet experienced the beauty of the latest offering, Ligfaerd, you better get your hands on it!
