The Far Away From the Sun lineup of Sacramentum is touring the Deathfests playing that album in its entirety and is supposedly set to record a new album this year. If it is the worthy successor that FAFtS never got, it will pretty much make my year musically speaking. Your mileage may, of course, vary.

It's an absolute touchstone for me. I'm picky bitch about black metal, looking for very specific things, and that album has them, in spades.

I heard about playing FaftS in its entirety, but I didn’t realise they were going to record a new album! But then Dawn have supposedly been recording a new album for like the past 10 years so who knows if it’ll ever come to light.

If it does come to light, I also hope it ends up sounding more like their debut and less like their following releases. Far away from the Sun, Obsolete Tears and Beyond All Horizons are 3 of my favourite black metal songs ever.

I'm anticipating new Bornholm and Draugnim this year, although nothing's solid. Both bands have been teasing studio pics and whatnot, we'll see if anything materializes.
