That's what I'd like to know. There sure weren't any metal teachers when I was growing up. Most of mine were hippies.

Oh my teachers were all strict and stiff people. They were like aunties.. I mean even the young ones were pretending to be old and witchy!

Thanks Wyv! It's ok. If it wasn't meant to be then so be it. Your philosophy on jobs is exactly like mine -- I'd rather work for less money and look forward to the job. Of course, if it's more money and enjoyable, so much the better!

The guy call me to change the interview. It psisses me off since I have to look for another excuse to go (is not that I'm going to ask for time in my job to llok for another isn't it? :loco: ).

So I took today to see the specialist. The result was quick and straightforward: surgery. He has to removed the pin to reduce the chance of a more spread infection in the future (basically is a bursitis right now), but if the pin is not removed it may re-occur.

As you can guess I'm pretty down, after 16 years than piece of metal was part of me. I was sure I was going to walk to my grave with it, my legacy for the archeologist of the future. That and the pretty penny is going to cost me.
The "bright" side is that the operation is short, enter in the morning and exit in the afternoon. A couple of days of rest and then back to the grinder.
In the meantime I have to put the elbow in iced water for 20 min a couple of times a day.

I'm gonna jump into the pit at the end of this week or the next I guess, I want to have the surgery and recovery period asap to be in top form for PPVII.

Bummer! I actually did take time off from mine to interview for the other. :heh:

It'll be allright. Seriously, you got all of us thinking the right things for you and sending all that energy down to your elbow. After we're done with that we'll see what we can do about hooking you up with a really hot Physical Therapist for your post-op work. :kickass:

Ohh you'll miss your pin a lot as it was a part of you for a lot of time. A piece of metal for a metal-head to be proud of.. :headbang: But at least it will not hurt anymore after the surgery.. The re-occurance possibility is bad...

all that time you had a pin head avatar I had no idea you started to morph into him starting with your elbow  Surgery is best... you'll be up and ready for PP. Sending good thoughts your way, Wyv!

Thanks to all for the good vibes. I will schedule the surgery most possibly for the end of the first or second week of July. I have lots of work right now and I can't spare free time. In the meantime antibiotics and iced water is keeping the inflamation mostly at bay.
I returned today to the gym but only to cardio so at least I would'nt rust much during the pre and post-surgery days.

I forgot to mention I already have the plane tickets to Atlanta (courtesy of credit cards points and some dollars to acumulate more points for the next trip  ), straight fly on Delta arriving around 20:00 local time. Fewer days are ahead of us, get ready for the pinless Wyvern :D

Who's riding the train back to the airport with me to pick up the pinless Wyvern? :headbang:

Well, you certainly look it, my dear.

Damn, I'm smooth...

WOW! smooth operator. Thanks! The boone's farm brought back some great memories. Sneaking out the windown, a few bottles of boone's farm, ice blocking down the hills of the local golf course, telling Tommy no! no! no! LOL

I'm in to pick up Brotha Vern.:headbang: Then to the pre-pre-party for some adult beverages.:kickass:

Damn, is it Sept. yet?

Awsome guys, but I hope I can manage myself in strange land on a train (worst case scenario I end in Florida  ).

As for the beverages I still owe Whisper a round

Most probably I'll schedule my surgery for the first July weekend, I'll be pinless for Dio's show :zombie:

To see Venom,Sodom and Celtic Frost.

Ultra cool rooster. Nothing like great raw thrash to kick the old blood running, enjoy it to the max and when you get sober make a report ;)

Hello all and hope everyone has a great weekend! I am off tonight to see a local band called Cryptic Vision, it is a release party for their second album. They are on Progrock Records and play prog-rock in the vein of Yes, Kansas, Spock's Beard etc. They played Rosfest last year and will be at Calprog next month. Great band and should be a lot of fun.

Cheers all...:kickass:
