I am off tonight to see a local band called Cryptic Vision, it is a release party for their second album. They are on Progrock Records and play prog-rock in the vein of Yes, Kansas, Spock's Beard etc.

Sounds like a band really worth to check. Hope you enjoy the show big time (and report on my desk afterwards )

Yesterday I went to a gig of another of the local bands. They're called Draconian Incubus and played a sort of gothic metal. I went basically because my friend Darren organized the show and I know the guys in the band and they're a riot. As usual I'm the man on merchandising and believe it or not I sold some of the t-shirts

The place was packed, the organization was again flawless, the music was pretty cool played (although not my cup of tea) and the show well executed and I got time in between to scream, eat some sandwichs, met some ladies (mostly underage I'm afraid :zombie: ) and pet a boa constrictor! Lovely animal, considering it's a very boring pet, but damn funny to toy with (and it seems a great way to get chicks talking to you, don't ask me why).

As always we ended in the same chinese restaurant having the after-gig party (I can recommend the pork ribs with honey and garlic, yummy, yummy!) and you can imagine the sight of the patrons as 20 people most dressed in black some with makeup entering the place and occupy two huge tables. I guess we scare them all out

I went to a professional Lacrosse game last night. The Broncos gave me four tickets to the game -- the owner of the Broncos also owns the Lacrosse team. Pretty fun since they had fireworks after the game and all it cost us was $10 for parking. The home team, the Denver Outlaws, beat the visiting Los Angeles Riptide 22-11.

Two and a half months, my friend. Just two and a half months. Not long at all. We'll have an absolute blast!

I went to a job interview today. In a nutshell looks way more interesting that my actual job, but has a "glitch" on a sixth sense vibe that I can't pinpoint that is not a complete garden of roses.

On the other hand something flashed on my mind today. 16 years ago when I broke my elbow and ended with the screw in it, was a bit before my dad passed away and my whole life turned. At the end of my undergraduate I had lots of expectations and hopes, dreams and plans that were totally shattered and a life that has been since on a path I never had liked (especially in the job department).

So now closing to the day I'm going to have the pin removed I begun to wonder if this is a sign not of loss but of a brighter future approaching, like if the accursed talisman is finally being taken away from me.

It's silly I accept that but I can't help to think that maybe I should look upon to all this changes with hope again in my soul. In anycase the guy who interviewed me told me he wouldn't have an issue with me taken some days in September even if I start in the company in the next weeks, so at least i know nothing will stop me from PPVII

Brother Wyv, here's to the all the best for you! I am going through something similar, in the sense that I found myself very unhappy with where I was at in my life. I have, and still am going through some changes, and have re-focused myself on things that I let become secondary. Things that should have been priorities all along.

Maybe this is the sign for you to refocus yourself on those things that you have let go up until now. Whatever you do - life/career/changes - hope for the best for you, my friend. I have become very aware lately that it is most important to me to be happy, above all else. Here's to a successful surgery and much happiness in the future!

Oh Kitty, I'm so sorry that is really shitty. I assumed it was a generic. Did you had a backup of the data?

I always advise to people to have backup of the files on DVD (because of the storage capacity) and all the programs in order to reinstall if the HD fails or get compromised.

Hope you can repair it soon and get back on your bits again

I tried doing the backup and it was taking forever so I bypassed it.....now I will wait no matter how long it takes. The thing that ticked me off is the system comes with an automatic recovery and alas that failed as well.

I keep my photos in all other areas and will usually put them on a disk. My music, well looks like I'll be soulseeking again soon! Hugs to all and I'll check in from work every now and then!
