Was one hell of a night, pure old rock, I almost had a whiplash dancing in the disco with 'Ballroom Blitz', 'Still Of The Night' and You've Got Another Thin Comin'.

My bosses promised me the job will improve and I'll not be stuck with the boring administrative thing I'm doing.

Made my new passport errands, now I'm waiting for it via mail (no shit!)

My uncle is visiting so my mother is thrill to have have him here, good to have the family together form time to time.

Had a ball in MotorPsycho the best biker bar in town (courtesy of a White Russian) with lots of classic rock and good company.

Dinia spent yesterday night with me, I made her breakfast took her home and just got a bath.

Life is brighter today somehow...

O I am having fun going to concerts with carnut, going out to rock bars, meeting new people, writing for Aardschok, interviewing bands and generally having a lot of fun.

Can't wait for the weather to improve though, I am in dire need for some festivals!!

It seems Angra is going to play here in a couple of months. Was first "confirmed" by a friend of mine who have a metal radio show on internet at MySpace, and now it shows on the official website of the band.

Somebody decided to pick my digital camera from my car yesterday. I can't recall if all the doors were properly since I was frantically jumping to several places, getting stuff for the production of a concert I was helping with.

What pisses me the most is that all the places were decent Office Depot, EPA (like Home Depot), the groceries store. So some "decent" customer form a decent store, saw the opportunity and decided to pick a camera for free.

I'm very, very down right now, not the only the money lost but the fact of your pricacy violated again

That truely sucks. It is certainly one of the worst experiences. Almost 10 years ago on Christmas Eve while I was at my sister's house, somebody broke in my place & helped themselves to about $3,000 worth of stuff. The worst part is my over awareness may have turned to paranoia and and I seldom go out after dark even though I've since got an alarm system & a dog. Unfortunately, in my case, the uneasyness never went away and possibly never will. I wish you better success dealing with the trust issues (and recovering your camera).

Been there too. A couple of years ago thieves enetreed the house trashed my mom's room, stole my computer, the new TV set, jewelry, a sounds system etc.

Since then we lock ourselves in even at night (so I don't want to know what will happen in an earthquake). Everytime we left the house alone is a matter of paranoia, now it'll be the same with my car.

I won't say I'm reaching a point of such paranoia I refuse to leave my house, but I enjoy more being in (and "safe") than to go out

As for the camera, forget about recovering is a matter of re-purchasing. Stolen goods are gone for good here, the police here sucks beyond belief. This ain't CSI, Law & Order or anything remotely like it, the Keystone Cops will probably do it better

Was a bad week I suppose, got my share yesterday...

the day before yesterday I had some heavy neck and Head pain, dock gave me some painkillers but I couldn't sleep and when I woke up yesterday I felt there was something wrong with my eye, couldn't open my right eye when the left was shut. When brushing my teeth I noticed I couldn't spit out the water in the direction I wanted. Back to the dock and he quickly noticed I had a left facial paralisis, meaning the left part of my face is (partialy) paralized. Luckely no severe case but it scared the hell out of me for sure!! Certainly as my wive and I saw those symptoms for a brain bleeding or so before I went to the doctor...
In 95% of cases this will completely heal in about a month, so the neurologic specialist I went to gave me a very certain hope it will all heal fine.
For now I look pretty normal, except for an infected eye, as I cannot close my left eye completely. If I laugh though you can very well see one side of my mounth moves up and the other remains down, kinda Sylvester Stallone face you know ... Also drinking is pretty strange, water allways wanna go out on the part of my mounth I can't control. Kids came to the rescue with straws to drink but couldn't resist to laugh when I tried to blow up a balloon...
Soo, now it's a long month hoping all will get well. I'm pretty sure but there's that little doubt allways. It's a really scary feeling, looking in the mirror and trying to lift your eyebrow or mouth and nothing happens ...
Luckely the doc allows me to go to KIT next week, there's no use sitting home when I feel good (now still have a little headache, but it's getting better).
Again a silly reminder to live your live NOW and not when it's too late...I look at it the bright side, as it probably will be forgotten in a few months, but also realize this was a close call, could have been much, much worse. !!

Please let us know how you are improving. We're all crossing finger for you.

On a side note, Dinia got ugly pissed with me big time (if somebody wants to get deeper read my blogs at MySpace). Let's say that yesterday while chatting with her brimstone and thunderbolt was conjured upon my head, and I guess I very much...single again (so girls out there PM me )

Also the bastard of my boss came back form a trip just to piss on everybody in the company. One of my dearest co-workers couldn't took it anymore and resign yesterday, a very sour note.

Thankfully this is a long weekend (Th-Su), so I can wash a bit by head of demons and webs, God bless metal and its healing power!

The paralysis I have is caused probably by an infected face-nerve, somewhere behind or just under my left ear. Could be from different reasons, even a cold on my neck or so. It is referred to as Bell's paralysys. The exact cause is unknown , the only sure cause uptill now is an infection by Lyme's disease (caused by a tick bite mostly), but that was ruled out in my case... I was tested with an electric pulse aparatus and wednesday my brain will be scanned to rule out any possible causes (like a bleeding inside the brain or so) But chances of that are "futile" the doc says, but we have to be sure... I have every symptom of the bell's paralysis....

Carnut - VERY sorry to hear about you getting Bell's Palsy (as it's known here in the states). This is the same thing Jim Ross (WWE announcer) has, and a woman I worked with at a previous job had. Jim Ross still has it bad, and the woman I worked with took over a year before she regained control/feeling on her face. Seems like you got a good diagnosis with yours, best of luck & healing with all of this.

Wyvern - Bummed to read that you got your camera stolen, AND are having issues with your GF. Perhaps she will come to her senses, some of the smarter ones eventually do! I HATE thieves, and I would gladly volunteer to be the limb lopper if we had those kinds of laws here.

I'm awaiting whether or not the Co. I work for has been sold or not, more like waiting on "official" word. Could be a shitty summer coming up. Only time will tell...

Good to hear man! I know that stuff's pretty scary. I had a tumor removed from my cheek several years ago and one of the possible side effects was facial paralysis. The feeling just came back completely on the left side of my face just a few years ago. It wasn't paralyzed but just kinda numb.

That sucks! Sorry to hear that my friend. I've never understood thievery. It's not just the taking of the object -- it's the complete invasion of your privacy and your space. The objects can be replaced but that infringement on your being hangs with you.
