GMD Poll: Iron Maiden Albums Ranked

Trve rvles of UM rating games:

1. No album can be first that isn't within the first 3 releases of a discography.
2. Everything Metallica did after AJFA sucks.
3. The only black metal that sucks is IT FUCKING DOESN'T.
4. Breakdowns are an automatic disqualifier.
5. Judas Priest is better than Iron Maiden because of one album.
6. Thrash made after the 80s is just a sad imitation.
7. Chuck Schuldiner didn't get cancer soon enough.
8. Covers should never be done and always suck.

Nice "I got my feelings hurt on GMD so now I'm making generalizations" starter pack.

BNW and The Final Frontier are easily the best of their reunion albums, not worth making a big deal over which of the two are better. The only important thing is in realizing that Killers and Piece of Mind are masterpieces of the metal artform and if neither makes your top 3 or so, you should go back to your Agalloch albums.

Half of PoM is filler, the other half is epic. I don't think you can just ignore the filler to make your statement.

i think i'd struggle to count the '80s albums with less filler on one hand. pretty much as close to a model of consistency as you're gonna get.

Random observation: Somewhere in Time didn't make the top 10 of the 1986 list, but Seventh Son made the top ten on the 1988 list; yet, Somewhere in Time finished two spots higher than Seventh Son on this list.
