How do you like Death Metal?

I find myself enjoying Death, Deicide, Cynic, etc more than I do Suffocation or Cannibal Corpse

I do too, excet I never got into Death or Cynic, Cannibal Corpse can go both ways, their old school stuff with Barnes was more of a brutal style of DM, more akin to NYDM, than their stuff with Fisher which is more fast paced technical/Floridian style, and ironically they moved from NY to Florida when the style changed.

Mortician is probably my favorite NYDM, Skinless sounded better to me from what I heard off their previous 2, the stuff of Hurdle The Weak was just ok stuff, not really enjoyable but not terrible.

I Really enjoyed Trample/Hurdle from skinless.

I guess it just gets the intended point across.

Your next album needs to be either Scream Bloody Gore or Leprosy from Death.

Re Immolation:

The only Immolation album I have is Shadows of the Light and it's a decent album. I'd rather listen to Bolt Thrower though.

Thanks for all the recs and locations of the bands, but location is a little overwhelming right now for me. I need to focus on finding DM bands I enjoy first. So far the favs are

Hypocrisy - Virus
Death - The Sound of Perseverance
Entombed - Left Hand Path

Still haven't looked around that much, busy with college, work, and gf. I need to burn some cds for the truck.

That's their worst. They haven't really changed their sound overall, which is why I think they're deemed consistent. The thing that changes is the production.
