Hey I like all those bands a lot as well. (Enya somewhat, but I don't mind it at all.)

eheheh Enya is one of those things I like to listen to in a bubblebath with all the lights off save for some candles ... usually I'm in the brooding state of mind. like uberdepressed.

Some of Enya's stuff is good music to sulk to. :loco:

There's nothing with Enya at all, it's ok to like other types of music...I just despise jumpcore, yet I'm open to other types of music besides metal.
I also know that in flames, opeth, soilwork, arch enemy, bodom, dark tranquillity, nevermore, at the gates etc. are the most popular good metal bands now, so alot of people that like nu metal also like those bands...but i never see much of them listening to more extreme or underrated metal like agalloch, summoning, myrkskog, misery index, bathory, vital remains, but hey now...it's awesome that alot of nu metal kids are really into alot of the bands on ultimate metal. Listen to what you want, for all I care

Since some consider tool and fear factory numetal i like it ... however most numetal boores me except some SOAD and Defones tunes ... cant listen to more than a couple tunes though

fear factory is industrial i think arent they? i like em and tool for that matter but tool has an ingenious drummer so they arent nu metal
nu metal i think is categorized as simple metal, and i dont even call tool metal

I listen to some of everything, with the exception of commercial pop, which I don't consider music, although some of it is pleasant to watch with the TV muted. I'm not going to ignore a band because critics decide to throw them into a category that I don't like. It just seems narrow-minded to me.

I like Mudvayne, and I know everyone calls them nu-metal. But to put Mudvayne in the same category as Limp Bizkit or Linkin Park is very wrong, as they are a TON more creative and talented.

I don't see how talent makes a difference to the fact that they are nu-metal.

Isn't it like saying, to put Cryptopsy in the same category as Deicide is very wrong, because Cryptopsy are a ton more creative and talented?

I listen to a good amount of nu-metal bands. I'll even go so far as to listen to Linkin Park. But I stopped listening to Limp Bizkit a year or two ago. Durst really annoyed the shit out of me. Other bands I listen to you could consider nu-metal are Sevendust, Mudvayne, Nothingface, Mushroomhead, Disturbed, Static-X, Deftones and a couple others. Sevendust is probably my favorite nu-metal band, but my favorite bands in general are just metal (Dark Tranquillity, Sentenced, IF, Winds, Soilwork, etc.)

pretty much the same as me. i still listen to some, i mean if i had never gotten into korn then slipknot, i probably would never had gotten into heavier stuff

I really like their new album. Probably my favorite release of theirs.
