Jon Nödtveidt kills himself.

? is it? okay . I dont care

Yeah, I actually read those retarded comments there once in a while... this particular time was checking how low those went being "original" about one's death. Yeah, this one was there.

He was a weak little fucker.
I don't see how it's 'weak' of him to kill himself based on beliefs that he came up with in a more or less balanced mental state. I would imagine that it takes some courage to do it.

@Zack: Complicity in murder and posession of the gun used in the murder. Not murder.

Oh, I didn't follow it that much. Still, the thing that guy said on blabbermouth is fucking funny

never listened to dissection.. but I'm sorry for him.. suicides and killings in the metal scene are just so sad..

I feel exactly the same... . It's funny because, just like Rampy, I was just getting into Dissection, but then, *bang* he's dead.

Well I'm an old school fan and him killing himself has shocked me, mainly because I find it hard to understand how a person could de-value life in the way he did... and what sort of an example is he setting his closer followers? The one thing I didn't like about dissection was how they were literally mindless followers of their 'religion'... although they don't think all the anti cosmic satanic bullshit was religion (philosophy perhaps? Organised philosophy based on practices, bullshit and a system of beliefs).

ReinKAOS was immense. I think time will tell on this one for sure.

You can (should!) continue to live in your world of lies and materialism, but know, the END will come also to you! Every of you, every of us!

The truth doesn't exist in inexistence, not anything exists in death, those who try to find whatever it is in the absurd are fools. If you think it takes courage to kill oneself for his belief, then wouldn't it take even more courage to live and stick to it in this world of lies and materialism? Personally, I pity those who killed themselves for whatever reason it is, simply because, by living on, they would have more power to serve or change that reason.

"I could die for my reason, but I'm much better at living humbly for it."

Hail Jon! See you in Spirit!
Hail Dissection!
Hail Flame!

Is that the work of Jon's brainwashing? Or is that you blindly putting yourself down to something he created? Either way you're pathetic.

This are not your interest and please keep your opinion on person you don't know for yourself.
Jon never have acted nothing brainwash in the brain of nobody, he simple starts his personal music and phylosophy and he have his fans/friends like every great musical man.

Then it's the second case, you're still pathetic.

What you said still doesn't justify his suicide, there are other great musicians who made music for the sake of art, who are still friendly and great in minds, but that doesn't mean all of them committed the act of suicide.

I think the reason for complaining shouldn't be that he killed himself but that everyone's making such a big deal about it. This isn't the first UM forum where i've seen this exact post (the first one of this thread), and who knows how many other (non-UM) forums have been invaded with the news of Jon's death. If someone wants to kill themself, good for them, i won't stand in their way; it's their decision to make, not mine, and i don't have the right to say anything about it. Just don't make a really big deal out of it and flood the whole internet with it and get engaged in 4873068758 different flamewars about it (because flamewars are the obvious result of posting about someone who a) committed suicide, b) was a satanist and c) was a murderer). Come on, it's not like a country got invaded or a new cure for cancer was found. It's just a guy who killed himself; many people have killed themselves, and yet you don't see a million websites about their suicides; why should he be more important than anyone else? Ok, so he was a band member and thus famous; so make a thread on the band's forum and on the band's website and keep the discussion there; the only people who give a shit about it are the people interested enough in the band to check the band's website and/or forum every now and then, so they'll all eventually find out. Now please shut up about it.

Why do we always get some new guy in these threads about some famous person dying? Do they search UM for <recently dead musician>'s name and copy/paste a rant wherever he's mentioned? I suppose that's what being a nutty fan means, but still... I admire the dedication.

And I don't really know or care whether he was a "good person" or not, but it's annoying when everybody insists we have to respect something whether we understand it or not, as if respect is a given that you can't deny a rapist, pedophile, or whatever best (or worst) suits your set of values.

edit: And yes to UndoControl's "Uh. Big deal" attitude. It's really not the end of the world, even if he invented death metal music, melodic death metal music, or sliced bread.

@4thdimstudio shameless plug: next time in English.
