NEVERMORE

I see what you're saying with the DNB sound, but at the same time I thought PoE needed to sound exactly as it did and as we speak I'm being sucked into the remaster I bought right after release...

Has anyone noticed at the beginning of This Godless Endeavour (the actual song, track11) You can hear the click track on the vocals.. All I can assume was either headphone bleed or perhaps spill from the control room. Anyone else noticed it? Also whilst I'm being anal!!, On Dead Heart, Track 9- Insignificant you can hear the Autotune (possibly Antares??:ill: ) Coming in around 03:50 on the 'to look in the sky' vocal line........

Sad really, that I notice these things :erk:

Both fantastic albums,,,

That just sounds like a part of the drum track to me...I really doubt that Andy, the band or the label would have let some bleed that obvious get through.

see this is where I expected the big name producer to start rolling out the cliches and refer to mistakes like that as adding "character" to a track....:D

I love stuff like that. For the life of me I can't remember the album, but I can remember hearing a phone ringing very faintly on a track. It used to drive me mental until I got the story: apparently the vocal was being recorded in the control room, the phone rang during the take so they decided to leave it in.

no, it's click, but so what, performance was good and we liked the feel of vocal, don't think it affected record sales but I may be wrong....

You're not wrong, it's a fucking fantastic album, It's fantastically produced and fantastically performed. It's in my top 3 albums of all time (Rust In Peace, Tempo of The Damned and TGE). The whole thing sounds awesome. I especially love the sound of the toms at the beginning of Sentient 6, the eq and the reverb really make the toms sound awesome. It was definitely not meant to be a negative criticism, just an observation. Considering (IMHO) that the best produced metal album of all time is Tempo and my demo's sound pretty shitty I am in no position to criticise!

Andy nobody is arguing about the great recod it is, but that's great to discover all of that stuff from records, click bleeds, mistriggering, oh spills ans so on ahahah
you're a master and so it doesn't affect your god essence!
we just kneel and say we're not worthy.. (remember wayne's world?)
anyway great job on TGE!! really massive sound!
I struggle to get a sound massive like that!

yes, I'm agree with Kaomao, TGE is great in every way.....but guys I'm steel waiting a Nevermore DVD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
